The “Maison Jeunet“ boasts a long history and culinary experience that stretches back over several decades.

The great classics of André and Jean-Paul Jeunet, such as chicken with vin jaune and morels, or hare “à la royale” (boned and stuffed) remain a fundamental part of the restaurant’s repertoire. Poultry from Bresse, fera from Lake Geneva, game, “Petit Mercey” snails, local wild mushrooms and herbs: a creative cuisine that respects the seasons and the fruits of the earth.

Steven Naessens, The Chef: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication"

Steven Naessens was born in the Bruges area on 4 October 1981, into a warm and generous large family who have always enjoyed getting together over simple Flanders dishes.

From a very young age, his dream was to become a chef. Having trained at the prestigious “Ter Duinen” hotel school in Koksijde, he then gained experience working alongside top chefs. As Jean-Paul Jeunet’s right-hand man since 2009, Steven has appropriated the Jura region and its earthy, authentic produce. He has become committed to ensuring that the simplicity of his cuisine preserves the true nature of his ingredients, while still reserving some surprises for his diners.

As chef of “Maison Jeunet“, his wish is for diners to feel at home at his restaurant, taking away the simple thought of “It was delicious”.
